Among many other features, the app is built and designed to cater for some of the following:
LifeBlood Community Mobile App enables users to easily schedule blood donations, promoting regular donations and a user-friendly experience.
The App allows users to request a community donor when blood is needed for free.

Users can schedule Blood Group Tests for themselves, friends, or family and learn about their blood group.
The App enables users to join ongoing blood donation drives (Campaigns) organised within their community or region.
People lose their lives because of lack of access to blood. This is especially true for women who have difficulties in childbirth and sick children, but also for people who are in road accidents and other emergencies.

This is because the number of voluntary blood donations in Sierra Leone is only able to meet 15% of patients" blood needs.

Community champions are vital in promoting LifeBlood by raising awareness, educating, and mobilizing people. They build networks, form partnerships, and foster sustainable change. They also encourage community members to download the LifeBlood Community App, create accounts, schedule blood tests, donate blood, and participate in donation drives. Overall, they serve as the primary agents for creating awareness in their communities.

Champions
There is a nexus between LifeBlood University Ambassadors and LifeBlood Community Champion. However, LifeBlood Ambassadors operate within the domain of their respective universities.
Act As liaison officer
between the organization and the university and are responsible for building strong relationships and partnerships with students, lecturers and other workers in the university.
Act As promoters
for facilitating communication and collaboration with other organizations or individuals.


LifeBlood School Clubs are secondary school representatives promoting LifeBlood in their respective schools by raising awareness about blood donation, educating their peers and mobilizing them to take action by forming partnerships and networks within their schools and communities. They encourage their parents/guardians to download the LifeBlood Community App, create accounts, schedule blood tests, donate blood and participate in donation drives around their communities.
